    Canon LP-E6N Reviews

    LP-E6N Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 1865mAh) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 775.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Battery There are some products where I'll use third party batteries, my high end camera isn't one of those. I realize I'm paying a premium price for the Canon name, but with that name comes peace of mind. I know I'm buying a battery carrying the factory name and manufactured specifically for use in that camera. I don't know about everyone else, but I share 6 batteries between my two 5D Canons and when they show age, they are promptly replaced with another Canon battery. We're not talking about a fortune for batteries, especially when compared to the cost of a 5D Mark IV. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. In the past, I have had problems with third party batteries, that's why they don't get used in my cameras.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LP-E6N batteries take no charge I purchased a 7DII with the new model LP-E6N battery. I purchased a second companion battery. I own 3 Canon cameras and use LP-E6 batteries in the other 2 cameras. After I used the LPE6N batteries a couple of times the charger began to blink continuously and when I placed them in the camera it booted up but wouldn't recognize them. I replaced them with the LPE6 batteries and had no problem. I called Canon and sent both batteries back with my charger. They replaced the batteries and gave me a new charger at no cost. Ive had the new batteries now for a month, I charged them both one time and now they are doing the same thing the original set of batteries did. I'm sending these back to Canon and using the LPE6 batteries I havebeen using for years now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon's LP-E6N Battery for 5D Mark IV This new addition works with the battery grip for the 5D Mark IV. The camera comes with one N battery but if you want more power in your grip then you need this one. Two batteries without the N will not work with the grip and gives the following error message, Battery communication error. Does this battery/ do these batteries display the Canon logo? However you can use one in the camera without the grip or one in the grip and Canon batteries without the N designation. After spending so much money for the camera and grip the extra battery is not such a big deal. I think Canon should supply the extra battery with the grip.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasted two charges, no longer works. I know I am going against the grain by giving this battery a bad review but for me it was a waste of money. The battery charged twice then completely stopped working on any charger I tried. Just past the 30 day return policy so I need to send this battery across the country (Canada) for repair and pay shipping, so I just chucked it in the recycle bin. I am sticking to the generic brands from now on, they don't last as long but they have always been less problematic for me and are much cheaper. I have heard a lot of bad things about this battery online since having this problem, wish I would have done my research before buying this battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than The Knockoffs These are a little pricey (imho) but they're also worth it. I use these in my XC15s with no issues. I get about an hour and 40 minutes of recording time out of these and they can recharge inside the camera if I want to. The original LP-E6 batteries won't recharge in the XC15 and even though the original LP-E6 batteries work in the XC15, they don't last as long and sometimes the camera just shuts off (which can cost you a clip). Get these and you'll have no issues. Solid Canon batteries...oh, and the shipping was RIDICULOUSLY fast. Less than 24 hours. Can't go wrong with B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best (and only) Value for Money Simply the best, the most reliable, the one that will last for years and sincerelly: we pay serious money on high end camera bodies and we are going to buy cheap batteries that can destroy the camera and/or our workflow? I never ever buy cheap or other manufacturer cameras or grips. The risk involved is too high and certainly not worth it. I definately suggest it as an upgrade to the LP-E6 as well, it lasts longer than the small increase in mAh describes and the camera has smoother operation, ie slightly faster autofocus. Tested on a 5D mark II.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not clear why Canon made this battery I use this battery pack in my Canon EOS 7D Mark II. The battery is forward and backward compatible with the LP-E6 battery that is used in several Canon cameras, including the 7D and 6D. Apparently this new battery has 3% more battery life than the old one, but it costs way more than 3% more than the old one. Since the charger that comes with the 7D2 is identical to the older chargers, and you can use the older batteries, I don't see the point. However, like the older LP-E6 batteries, this seems to be a good product. I give it only 3 stars because it seems unnecessary, but there's nothing wrong with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reiable Battery I bought this additional Canon battery so that I will always have one that is at a full charge. The Canon is more expensive, but it's the one I have been using and I'm very happy using it. I take lots of photos and want a good, long lasting battery while I'm out shooting. I would recommend this battery to others. Ellen P.
