I'm thinking of getting this lens for my Canon 50mm f1.8 with Canon 6D and T3i. Does it cause vignetting or reduce the light value?
Adding optics to a lens is at the most going to do no harm but in general it is not going to improve the lens optics. And with a wide angle add-on-lens it will distort. It is always better to use a lens not an add-on-lens.

This lens that I received is actually a Digital Visions lens.....according to the manufacturer, the front lens thread is a 58mm thread......
