I have never had a problem taking it on a plane. I mostly fly mid-range domestic flights and have not been on a puddle jumper yet to see if I would run into any airline restrictions due to small planes but as for getting through TSA, no problem whatsoever. In some regards I wish I would have actually gone one size bigger. I can get all my gear into this bag but I currently am not carrying a wireless kit around with me (in the market to get a new one) and once I add that to my bag, it will be quite overloaded.
