Spanning a versatile range of focal lengths, the Lumix G Vario 35-100mm f/4-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. from Panasonic is a 70-200mm equivalent lens for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Despite its ranging reach, this lens is characterized by its compact and lightweight form factor that is suitable for everyday shooting. Its optical design employs one aspherical element and a pair of extra-low dispersion elements to suppress various aberrations, color fringing, and distortion for sharp, clear, and color-accurate imagery. A stepping AF motor and internal focus design are also employed for quick, quiet focusing performance that suits movie and photo applications, and MEGA O.I.S. helps to ensure sharp handheld photos by compensating for the effects of camera shake.

question
Does the lens ship with a case and hood?
I just received the lens form B&H and there's neither a case nor a hood ... though the included owner's manual does say there *should* be a lens hood. Not sure if there's an error in the info sheet or a missing item.

question
Two questions actually. First, when focusing, does the barrel move in/out at all or is it internal focus movement? Second, when zooming/focusing, does the barrel rotate?
Hi, the barrel does extend but the front doesn't rotate

question
I shoot Olympus which of course have IBIS. Is there a switch to turn off the Lens IS or an easy way to turn off the IS?
There is no switch on the lens. I have the new 100-400 Leica-Panasonic which has a switch on the lens, but there is IS in the camera and on the lens. There is no problem with both engaged, in fact, I think it improves the situation, so I wouldn't worry about it. This is a fine lens.

question
Hi, I was wondering : Is it compatible with a Lumix GF7? Thanks!
I use it with a Lumix GF3 so I would say yes. Micro Four Thirds lenses should work on any Micro Four Thirds cameras.

This is not listed as a lens with Dual IS on the Panasonic site. Is this a Dual IS capable lens? I'm using the GX85. Thanks!
