The Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G is an 8-lane PCIe Gen2 digital cinema capture and playback card with two multi-rate 12G-SDI inputs and outputs that accept resolutions from SD up to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 60 fps. The card supports 10-bit YUV and 8-, 10-, and 12-bit RGB color, as well as up/down/cross conversions and 3D stereoscopic output at full bandwidth 4:4:4:4 RGB. The DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G features a mezzanine card design that has 4K HDMI input and output connectors on a second daughter card, along with connections for adding two optional optical fiber modules for Dual Link optical fiber SDI input and output. The card also supports AES/EBU balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs/outputs, analog video I/O, reference input, and RS-422 control via an included breakout cable.

The DeckLink Duo provides additional features, but they do both support key and fill outputs. You can use the DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G card to output a key and fill over SDI to your ATEM switcher.

This card only supports 1 video input at a time. You can send it either HD/3G-SDI or 12G video in.

Can the 4k Extreme 12G downscale a full 4k DCI frame to 1080p (to feed to an HD reference monitor)?
I currently have their Miniconverter and that only does 4k DCI to 2k DCI and then crops off the sides of the 2K DCI image to display it at 1080p.
Does this do the same and crop off the sides when going from 4k DCI to 1080p? Or will it give you the full width of the 4K DCI frame on a 1080p screen?
No, the Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G Capture & Playback Card
can only down convert 4K UHD to 1080p HD and output a full image. It does not support 4K DCI to 1080p HD down convert. .

Hi, which SDI Cable Can I use to output 4K video? Because I was not able to find a 12G SDI Cable.
As long as the two devices you are connecting are 12G, you can use any SDI cable. While you should consider build quality of the cable for your set up, just know any SDI cable will do the job.
