The Blackmagic Design MultiView 16 features sixteen 10-bit 6G-SDI inputs that let you monitor SD, HD, or 4K sources in any combination on Ultra HD monitors or TVs. This lets you take advantage of the high resolution displays to view each source with increased clarity. The MultiView 16 allows for 4, 9, or 19 views to be selected, with each input fully re-synchronized. Two HD-SDI, two 6G-SDI, and one HDMI multi-view outputs are provided, as well as a loop output for each 6G-SDI input for passing the signals to additional devices.

Housed in a 1RU machined aluminum frame, the MultiView 16 is ready for use in the studio, broadcast truck, or even on location. It can be controlled using the illuminated buttons, spin knob, and 1.5" LCD screen on the front panel, or with the included control software via the Ethernet port. MultiView 16 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Good for Anything Outside Broadcast Doesn't output 1080p 23.976. Doesn't handle cross-conversions of 23.976psf well. All output looks soft. Would not recommend for anyone working in film or tv productions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product! It does everything it has advertised to do. Picture is sharp, and setup couldn't be easier. I will say that when I hooked it up to my TV, the unit was sending a distorted signal. After a brief conversation with tech support, they noted it was a known issue, and a simple firmware update fixed the problem. I was skeptical, but it did the trick! Only thing I wish is that it had some alternate layout options (some screens smaller or larger than others, etc.), but what it does do does the trick for us.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems with unit poorly supported by Blackmagic Purchased unit in January. Broke down DURING it's first event (while live). Should have returned it immediately (to B&H), but wrongly decided to work thru BMD. Sent it in, and BMD said updated software was loaded wrong, and sent it back. Unit crashed AGAIN, and BMD said reload software. Unit sat on the self a while because it was not trustworthy. When finally used - it crashed AGAIN. Now I'm stuck with it. Lesson: If problems, work thru B&H asap. They are more professional to work with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did what i needed it to do This takes on all signals i've throwen at it so far, Looks great using HDMI to SDI converters. Not sure why other reviewer was saying it looked soft. Picture was nice a sharp, all signals i've used were from Nvidia graphic cards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Multiview 16 The Multiview performed perfectly for my application. I fed it 2 REDs a C100MKII that had HDMI converted to HDSDI and PIX240i used for playback. BMV16 was able to take the different signals and pass them to the monitor without issue. Soloing the sources is fast. The image on the monitor seems just a bit soft but for my application which was to get an image with four sources to a client monitor and a floor monitor for the director it was perfectly acceptable. My PC running Windows 7 did not want to talk to the BMV16 right away. It would populate the BMV16 but I couldn't connect directly with a network cable. A few emails later with tech support at Black Magic and giving the BMV16 a new network address got everything talking and playing nice. Black Magic was very helpful to me in getting this to work right. The Multiview 16 will be a good addition to my kit and does what it is adverised as.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product I would buy this product again. 16 inputs into one monitor, made it very nice to shade cameras and watch our record levels all on the same monitor.
