This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one was too easily dislodged from the lens and lost forever. I applied LocTite to the second one and so far it has remained in place. But I would recommend doing that with your first one. If you use a UV filter as protection, as I do, you need to purchase a thin one like Leica makes for the D-Lux. A thicker UV or rotating polarizing filter is too large for the auto lens cap to close completely. But it works nicely when these caveats are addressed.
It worked well for two weeks and then started loosening up and i was afraid I would lose it. Too costly to have fall off. I sent it back for a replacement. We’ll see.
