Instant Tethered Capture
Full support for tethered shooting is available, allowing you to directly import images into the program in real time, with the added ability to work in Live View as well. This allows for instant viewing of captured images and a more streamlined method of organizing files and preparing edits for eventual manipulation. Camera exposure settings can be modified remotely and image adjustments and styles can also be applied during capture. Support for Over 300 Cameras

Capture Pilot
The Capture Pilot feature allows remote triggering with compatible cameras as well as file browsing, rating, and examining of images as they are shot. This system provides a wireless connection between a web browser or iOS device with the current Capture One Session or Catalog.

Profoto Lighting Integration
Using the Profoto Light Control plug-in for Capture One Pro, you can monitor and adjust compatible Profoto Air lighting units directly from within the software's interface without the need for an additional application. The aperture setting can also be linked to the flash output for greater consistency in exposures, while affording quicker switching of depth of field positions, without needing to manually adjust lighting setups.
Smart Previews
All Capture One catalogs are portable, and each image imported into a Catalog receives its own Smart Preview for performing advanced image adjustments without the need to alter the original raw file. Additional tasks such as keywording and metadata editing are also possible, and all of the performed image adjustments are stored within the Catalog and do not alter the original image itself.

Clarity
For refining the look of local, mid-tone contrast, the Clarity tool helps to enhance details and visual depth with a simple slider system. Four different methods of Clarity control are offered: Classic, Neutral, Punch, and Natural, which serves to heighten contrast while still retaining a natural overall appearance.
HDR
A redeveloped HDR tool works to extend the amount of detail visible in highlight and shadow regions of an image, even if the original image is over or underexposed. This tool is especially beneficial for high contrast imagery and helps to draw out more information from deep shadows or blown out highlights: all from one single capture.
Noise Reduction
Each of the more than 300 supported cameras has a unique profile with distinct noise reduction characteristics throughout the camera's ISO range, to both minimize the appearance of noise without affecting overall detail. The default setting for each camera type can be used or you can manually adjust noise levels independent of any predetermined profile for extensive control.
Film Grain
A dedicated Film Grain tool helps to simulate the look of traditional silver film and strives to mimic a more organic look contextualized by how light interacts with silver halide on film.
Keystone Correction
Perspective distortions can be reduced or eliminated using the intelligent Keystone Correction tool, which can affect both vertical and horizontal convergence. Both manual and automated controls are available, with both helping to achieve perfect geometry within the frame.
Automatic Lens Corrections
In addition to the supported camera types, each manufacturer also has a host of supported lens types with their own profiles for fine-tuning image sharpness, distortion correction, and light falloff. Just as with the cameras themselves, each lens profile is created through a strict testing process, and the profiles are optimized to deliver consistent results. Alternatively, lens corrections can also be made manually for more personalized refinement.
Lens Cast Calibration (LCC)
Lens Cast Calibration (LCC) specifically corrects certain lens anomalies rendered as color casts or uneven illumination that can occur with some lenses on technical cameras. By photographing a reference image through a neutral semi-transparent filter, this image can be applied and used for automatic correction of color casts, light falloff, and dust spots. This tool is especially useful reproduction photography and copy work where consistent exposure and color balance are a necessity.

Extensive IPTC metadata editing capabilities are afforded that help to streamline your overall workflow throughout the entire post-production process. The specific metadata tool allows you to read, update, and modify information at any point of the post-production process. Synchronization of Catalog Folders
Folders on a disk can be synchronized with Catalog using just a few clicks, regardless of whether the changes have been made within Capture One or elsewhere.
Sessions
Designed for more efficient project-based work, Sessions store all raw files, Selects, exported images, and deleted images from individual shoots into one dedicated Project folder. This Session is easy to move, copy, and backup since all files are located in a single folder, which makes it a straightforward process to move Sessions from a capture system to a processing system, or to send a Session to a third party for additional retouching or final editing.

Catalogs
Helping to organize collections of images, Catalogs can be employed to quickly browse and search through large groups of files at a rapid pace. Images can be stored within one Catalog or dispersed throughout many depending on your own workflow, and Catalogs can also be shared within a multi-user environment for easier collaboration.
Search and Filtering
Both Catalogs and Sessions can be searched and filtered quickly using a wide variety of search terms, such as ratings, keywords, and EXIF and IPTC data. Search filters can also be combined and saved for later reuse as Smart Albums, which expedite the seeking process with oft-used search terms.

Local Adjustments
A wealth of non-destructive local adjustments can be used to refine and enhance the look of imagery, including the ability to modify exposure, sharpening, and white balance within specified regions of an image. You can work directly on the raw image file, too, to better ensure maintained quality and detail retention, as well as to save time by applying all of the edits at once.
Black & White Conversion
A rich black & white conversion process allows you to transform color imagery into monochromatic imagery, with the ability to adjust color channels and create split-toning effects for refined control over the final tonality.
Repair Layers
Dedicated clone and heal layers offer you expanded ability to retouch and repair imagery, in both global and local fashions. A clone layer allows one part of an image to be copied to another part, while a heal layer utilizes algorithms to match certain elements, like texture, tone, and transparency, for a more pleasing, natural result ideally suited for retouching. Both of these layer types allow you to perform commonly used repairing techniques directly to the raw file, without the need of an additional editing application.

Helping to expedite the exporting workflow, Process Recipes can batch process groups of imagery, with different formats, in the background with the status clearly visible in a dedicated batch queue. By utilizing these recipes, you can maintain consistent export settings and expedite turning your work over to clients. When defining how a Process Recipe is developed, you can select from different file format, sizing, and metadata choices to apply at once. Additionally, multiple recipes can be applied together prior to beginning the exporting process.
Soft Proofing
Using a color-calibrated monitor, you can output imagery to any RGB or CMYK working profile for on-screen soft proofing to help alleviate the number of test prints required to produce a finalized image.

Auto Adjustments
Automated adjustments quickly correct exposure, saturation, contrast, white balance, high dynamic range, levels, and rotation settings of an image. Additionally, when working with a Phase One IQ-series digital back, automated keystone adjustment is also available.
Focus Mask
Helping to quickly sort through imagery and determine the focus of an image, the Focus Mask tool determines and highlights which areas of an image are in or out of focus.
