This upgrade is installed by removing the rear panel of your d2 Thunderbolt, at which point you will instantly be provided with an additional 128GB of SSD storage. After installation, two individual drives will mount on your desktop - one for the d2's SSD and another for its hard disk. The SSD has been optimized for bandwidth-intensive tasks such as fast file transfers, audio mixing, video editing, or OS booting, while the hard disk is better suited for less intensive tasks such as file archiving.
