Panasonic Lumix G 14mm f/2.5 II Reviews
Good for its price.
Pretty sharp. So small and cheap. For a little more, get the Leica 15mm 1.7 You will not regret it.
Great Little Pancake Lens
I wanted a pair of pancake primes to use with my Panasonic GX9 to make a coat pocketable kit for the winter. So I got this 14mm plus the Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f1.7 II. So I have been surprised by the image quality, AF speed, and reliability of this small Pancake lens.
Outstanding lens!
Purchased specifically for use with my Panasonic GM1, I couldn't be happier. A small, barely there pancake lens with amazing performance. I wanted a small prime lens to use as a general purpose walk-about lens and this certainly fits the bill. Highly recommended.
Good lens for the price
I bought this lens for street shooting. Lightweight and fast it works well with my G85. As with any wide angle there are some issues with lens flare. The purple fringing has been noted by others. For the price it's tough to beat, a sharp lens that focuses fast.
Nice for street shooting
I wanted a smaller, less noticeable, lens for street shooting, I am new to this style of photography. There is some lens flare to deal with but it manageable. Fast and sharp I am able to shoot from the hip using auto focus.
THE 28mm equivalent for M43 users!
I'm an Olympus shooter, having a wide range of both AF and vintage MF prime and zoom glass for my pair of PenF bodies. But, I've always felt that exclusion of a 28mm equivalent to be a sad omission in the Olympus range. So, finally, I grabbed the LUMIX 14mm/2,5 to fill in the gap, and have been thrilled with the results. Sometimes, the 17mm/1,8 is just a bit too tight, and the wonderful 12mm/2,0 is just a bit too wide. This lens is sharp and contrasty, focuses fast, and provides just the right field of view for many applications. It has become the first lens I grab when going out to shoot the urban and social landscape, offering a unique view of the world that is engaging and intimate without the distortions of the wider 12mm. It's small, pancake form factor makes it a joy to carry, turning the diminutive PenF into an almost pocket camera. While not a bokeh monster, the OOF areas are rendered beautifully when wide open, and the wide DOF when stopped down is just fantastic. For anyone seeking something just a little different from the pack, this lens is highly recommended. Sure, it could be a little faster, but then it would also be bigger, and more expensive, and is that half-stop really important, or even useful on a wide-angle lens? At such a low price, this is one of the best bargains in the M43 world.
Great value/performance ratio
This lens has good definition, and natural colors and contrast. It's very small and weighs so little, too. I highly recommend it!
Excellent lens
Excellent lens. Great clarity, and extremely small on my GM1. Love the pocket form factor. Love it.
