The 5-channel SPM5520 DX5e DSMX Transmitter and Receiver System from Spektrum is a wireless remote control transmitter and receiver set designed to control RC aircraft. The transmitter is a basic sport radio with Mode 2 configuration. It transmits on the 2.4 GHz band and utilizes DSM (Digital Spread Spectrum Modulation) to provide increased operation range for your aircraft with greater resistance to internal and external radio interference. With its easy-to-use design combined with advanced features such as delta wing mixing and servo reversing, the DX5e is ideal for both beginners and experienced users.

The receiver is a full-range, 6-channel receiver for small to .90 sized RC sport planes. It features an amplified antenna for greater signal clarity, 2048 resolution, and QuickConnect technology with Brownout Detection. The receiver is telemetry compatible and supports Spektrum's optional Flight Log module for tracking RF link performance.

Spektrum DX5e DSMX 5-Channel Transmitter (Mode 2)

The DX5e DSMX 5-Channel Transmitter from Spektrum is a basic sport radio with Mode 2 configuration for RC aircraft. It transmits on the 2.4GHz band and utilizes DSM (Digital Spread Spectrum Modulation) to provide increased operation range for your aircraft with greater resistance to internal and external radio interference. The transmitter is compatible with all current Spektrum and JR DSM2 and DSMX receivers. With its easy-to-use design and simple operations combined with advanced features such as delta wing mixing and servo reversing, the DX5e is ideal for both beginners and experienced users. Four AA alkaline batteries come included to power the transmitter.

PLEASE NOTE: The DX5e DSMX Transmitter is not compatible with the Spektrum AR6000/BR6000 receiver.

DSM Technology
The DX5e transmits on the 2.4GHz band and utilizes DSM (Digital Spread Spectrum Modulation), giving getter than visual range operation for your aircraft. Unlike conventional narrow band systems, Spektrum's 2.4GHz technology has greater resistance to internal and external radio interference.
DSMX and DSM2 Compatible
The DSMX is compatible with all current Spektrum and JR DSM2 and DSMX receivers. DSMX operates on the 2.4GHz band and combines superior data capacity and interference resistance of a wideband signal with the agility of frequency shifts. This makes DSMX less likely to suffer significant data loss from on-channel interference, resulting is quicker connection times and superior response in crowded 2.4GHz environments. DSMX can be turned on and off with the transmitter. By default, DSMX is turned on. When it is on, the transmitter will bind to standard DSM2 and DSMX receivers. The only time DSMX technology must be turned off is to bind to high-speed 11ms 2048 DSM2 receivers.

Note: When using the DX5e with one of the Spektrum park flyer receivers, like the AR6115 and AR6115e, it is imperative that theses receivers be limited to flying park flyer-type aircraft only.
Digital Trims
The DX5e features digital trims. Each time a trimmer is moved the servo output will change one step. If the trimmer is held, the output will scroll in that direction until the trimmer is released or the output reaches its end.
Delta Wing / Elevon Mixing
Elevon (or delta wing) mixing combines the functions of ailerons with the function of the elevator to allow precise control of both roll and pitch for delta wing aircraft. The Elevon mix mode can be activated by moving the mix switch to the on position.
HI/LO Rate
The DX5e offers a high/low rate function on aileron, elevator, and rudder channels. When the HI/LO rate switch is in the "HI" position, 100% travel is achieved on the channels. When the switch is in the "LO" position a reduced travel of 70% is achieved. This is useful for allowing your aircraft to have a high control rate for aggressive maneuvers and a low control rate for smooth, precise maneuvers.
Servo Reversing
The DX5e provides servo reversing on channels 1 to 4. The switches are located at the lower front of the transmitter and are used to select the direction of each channel. A small screwdriver can be used to change the switch position to normal or reverse.
Trainer
The trainer function allows the transmitter to operate as a master or slave to another transmitter. The trainer switch is located on the top left of the transmitter. When using the trainer function, an optional trainer cord is plugged into the trainer port in both the master (controlling) and the slave (training) transmitters. The master transmitter must have the power turned on and the slave transmitter must have the power turned off. The trainer system is compatible with all Spektrum and JR transmitters.
Low Battery Alarm
When the battery voltage drops below 4.7 volts, an alarm will sound and the voltage LEDs will flash.
Battery Charging Jack
The transmitter is powered using four AA alkaline batteries. If using rechargeable batteries, they can be conveniently charged without removing them using the charging jack located on the side of the transmitter.
Spektrum AR610 6-Channel DSMX Aircraft Receiver

The AR610 6-Channel DSMX Aircraft Receiver from Spektrum is a full-range, 6-channel receiver for small to .90 sized RC sport planes. It works with Spektrum and JR DSMX and DSM2 transmitters and features an amplified antenna for greater signal clarity, 2048 resolution, and QuickConnect technology with Brownout Detection. The receiver is telemetry compatible and supports Spektrum's optional Flight Log module for tracking RF link performance.

Full-Range DSMX Receiver
DSMX operates on the 2.4GHz band and combines superior data capacity and interference resistance of a wideband signal with the agility of frequency shifts. This makes DSMX less likely to suffer significant data loss from on-channel interference, resulting is quicker connection times and superior response in crowded 2.4GHz environments. DSMX technology is active only when both transmitter and receiver are DSMX enabled. The AR610 will also work with existing DSM2 enabled transmitters.
QuickConnect with Brownout Detection
QuickConnect technology allows your receiver to recover instantly from a power interruption. Brownout Detection, available only is DSM2 mode, flashes the receiver's LED to let you know that a power has interruption occurred.
ModelMatch Technology
Prevents the possibility of operating a model using the wrong model memory, potentially preventing a crash. With ModelMatch, each model memory has its own unique code (GUID) and, during the binding process, the code is programmed into the receiver. Later, when the system is turned on, the receiver will only connect to the transmitter if the corresponding model memory is programmed onscreen.
