Sorenson Media Squeeze Desktop 10 Pro boasts wider codec support and in many cases faster encode times than one will see with encoders built into editing software. Incorporating all of the features of the Standard version, Pro additionally offers closed caption insertion, HEVC/x265 encoding and decoding, ProRes encoding on Mac, and Avid DNxHD encoding. New features of note for version 10 include: the VP9 codec replacing VP8 for up to 50% lighter files, Multi-Rate Bundle Encoding to save time, HLS encryption where security is paramount, and two preliminary 4K presets. For seamless integration with your editor, Squeeze works as a plugin with Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro 7, and Adobe Premiere Pro. This copy of the software is a DVD-stored, single-user license.
