We use this monitor with BNC connectors to monitor our analog CCTV cameras. Image quality is great and color is accurate. I'd buy this one again.

question
what is the advantage of a surveillance monitor over a standard computer monitor?
The advantage of having a monitor connected to the recording unit allows you to set up the unit as well as view the cameras in real time. However, if you do not want to have a monitor there full time, you only need one when you will need to review the footage.
