Vigitron VI2401A Overview

Vigitron's VI2401A MaxiiCopper 1-Ch High-Speed Ethernet Extender-over-Coax allows users to transmit network data and PoE over standard coax cable, enabling IP surveillance cameras and other high-bandwidth digital devices to use existing infrastructure cabling in reduce installation time and cost while increasing Ethernet transmission range beyond the current 328' (100 m) limitation up to 5,000 feet.

Its Symmetric Bandwidth (SBW) technology ensures that full bandwidth transmission is maintained over the entire operational distance for both uploads and downloads with the ability to transmit multiple cameras on single camera runs with no information loss. Pass Through PoE (PTP) eliminates the need for additional remote power appliances while allowing a single PoE source, such as a PoE network switch, to provide power to both transceivers and camera. The unit has low power requirements and is small enough to easily fit inside most cameras housing and junction boxes.

Converts Ethernet UTP to transmit network data and PoE over standard coax cable
Extends Ethernet up to 5,000' over coaxial cables
MegaPixel Certified (MPC) High data rate: Ideal for high bandwidth requirements of Mega-pixel cameras, multiple IP cameras systems and cameras requiring Jumbo Frame transmission
802.3af and 802.3at Pass Through PoE (PTP) reduces installation costs while maintaining camera safeguards
Symmetric Bandwidth(SBW) provides consistent upload and download with Virtual Zero Packet Loss (VZPL) over total specified distance
Compact 3.7x1.6x1.2", and lightweight 3.4 oz design easily fits in camera enclosures and junction boxes
Designed and manufactured in the USA

How many watts can through POE can they extend?

How many watts can through POE can they extend?
Asked by: mike
The Vigitron Vi2300WP can extend 60 watts. If you have a long run, you need to start with a 90W PoE injector to account for power loss.
