Designed to create integrated experiences and reduce cabling costs from a network switch to an endpoint device, such as an IP phone or camera, the Vi3002 MaxiiNet PoE and UTP Extender from Vigitron streamlines and enhances audio and video communications.
The UTP extender has two RJ45 Ethernet ports. One of these ports connects to a network switch via CAT 5, 5e, or 6 cable, and the other connects to an IP endpoint device. Each UTP extender adds approximately 328' of data and power transmission distance between a network switch and an endpoint device. Additionally, one of these extenders doubles as a data and power repeater, and can support an additional 7 UTP extender/repeaters that extend the data and power transmission distance from the network switch to the endpoint device. For instance, at 6.5W, eight of these daisy-chained devices can deliver a transmission distance of approximately 3,000'. Lastly, the extender's 74W ability is designed to provide PoE for 60W PTZ cameras without the need for local power, and gives users more installation flexibility than other alternative powering systems.
