Hoodman HTE Overview

An upgrade for all HoodLoupe eyecups, the Hoodman HoodLoupe Teardrop Eyecup blocks out ambient light for improved visibility when looking at your camera's LCD screen. The tear drop shape is a natural fit for the contour of your head, creating a complete light seal and offering added comfort. The eyecup emulates eyepieces used on high-end motion picture cameras.

You can mount the Teardrop in seconds by removing your original eyecup and pushing the Teardrop over the viewing end of the HoodLoupe. Since it's mounted on a slip ring, the eyecup stays in place while you're adjusting your diopter and can also spin to right or left eye position.

Bought this for my 13x Bolex Viewfinder

I bought this to see if it would fit on my 13x Bolex viewfinder as it is difficult to get the original eyecup off and on efficiently - and low and behold - it works great. It pops on and fits just snug enough to where it's not going to fall off, but also can easily be taken off with minimal effort - slides right on and off. It does swing to the left or right rather easily, and if you wanted it on side or the other, I'm sure there's a simple solution to keep it in place. Highly recommend for Bolex 13x viewfinder.

A must for video and Hoodman

This eyecup is a must for anyone who owns a Hoodman loupe (and you SHOULD if you shoot on location and need to review images or show to clients). I fortunately own two loupes, so I've deicated this eyecup to the loupe I use for video. I don't do a ton of video work, but a few clients want brief clips from still shoots so this is the way around using a lot of dedicated video gear.

The Hoodman HoodLoupe Teardrop Eyecup, is not the compatible Hoodman Eyecup for the Canon 7D mk II or the Canon 5d mk IV. The compatible eyecup is the Hoodman Hoodeye Eyecup for Canon 22mm Eyepieces Models: https://bhpho.to/2bzoYWr

The Hoodman HoodLoupe Teardrop Eyecup is an Upgrade for All HoodLoupe Eyecups. It could be used on any Hoodman HoodLoupe you are using with your D750 or Fujifilm X-T2.

Unfortunately, the Hoodman HoodLoupe Teardrop Eyecup will not work on the PORTKEYS LEYE. However, we can recommend the Bluestar Special Use Round Viewfinder Eyecushion for Blackmagic URSA (Ultrasuede, Black) BH #BLSURECUSBK • MFR #3066U10. You can use it on the LEYE even though the name says it is for the Blackmagic URSA.
