The Jobu DMG-HD4 Heavy Duty Gimbal Head MK IV employs smooth friction adjustment to provide optimal control and ease of use with cameras and telephoto lens combinations up to 25 lb. A smaller overall form factor and lower weight over previous generations makes this gimbal easy to pack and carry. The vertical height from the mounting platform to the center axis of the tilt is 4", or roughly the maximum capacity of the lens and is intended as a guideline and not definitive. A 3" long plate is included for use on telephoto lenses or camera bodies, and a drawstring dust bag is also included with the gimbal.

The Jobu Design DMG-HD4 Heavy Duty Gimbal Head MK IV can support the weight of the equipment you have. Compared to Wimberly WH-200, DMG-HD4's tilt & panning knobs are on opposite sides. If you own this Jobu, does that cause issues?
Once you are used to the location of the knobs on either the Wimberly or Jobu unit it should not be an issue.

Will this work with my canon 300mm L series and 1.4 extender?
Assuming you have a Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L lens, the Wimberley P30 Quick Release Plate, B&H # WIQRPP30 would be suited to fit that lens on this Jobu head.

I use this head with a Nikon 200-400 f4, D800, with and without 1.4 or 2x TC. The assembly balances well, but the position of the shoe may have to be adjusted for different configurations.

What is in the box? Does this come with a lens plate or bag?
My Jobu came with the SF-NXK Quick Release plate. It did not come with the carry bag but I contacted B & H about this and got an immediate response who contacted Jobu.I also got a very fast response from Jobu and they shipped the bag directly to my house-excellent service from both B & H and from Jobu Design.This type of response and action was very much appreciated.By the way, the gimbal works great.
