DW DRUMS DRPLTMPK03ES Overview

This ebony black stain Performance Series 3-Piece Tom/Snare Drum Pack from DW Drums includes a 9 x 12" rack tom, a 14 x 16" floor tom, and a 6.5 x 14" snare drum. The drums feature all chrome hardware, North American hard rock maple shells, and Remo heads. The snare drum has a Coated Control Sound batter head with tuning sequence numbering, and a Clear snare side resonant head. The toms have Coated/Clear batter heads and Clear resonant tom heads.

The snare drum has propeller-style turret lugs, 3.0mm triple flange hoops, and a DW MAG snare throw-off system. The toms both have 2.3mm triple flange hoops, and all drums incorporate True Pitch tuning rods to give you more control over your sound by allowing for more precise tuning as compared to standard 12/24 threads.

Shells
The Performance Series rack and floor toms feature an 8-ply HVX construction while the snare has 10-ply HVX, combining the latest grain orientation technology and hand-selected North American hard rock maple to deliver a low, punchy fundamental, with ample resonance and projection that's ideally suited for live applications.
DW MAG Snare Throw-Off System
A purposefully simple design, the MAG is a workhorse drop throw-off with horizontal tension adjustment and smooth, easy-adjust action. It gets its name from a magnet that is integrated into the body of the throw-off. When the handle is in the up position, it won't release without a slight tug. When it does release, it throws the strainer completely off the head to avoid any strainer buzz.
True-Pitch Tuning Rods
These tuning rods feature 5mm threads rather than the 12/24 that is standard on most drums. To compare, there is 1 thread every 0.8mm on True-Pitch rods (about 20% more threads), versus 1 thread every 1.05mm on most other drums. The result is a more exacting tuning process.
Remo Heads
The Coated/Clear heads incorporate a coated tone ring for just the right amount of muffling with plenty of resonance. Crimped flesh hoops provide maximum vibration and durability.
