I just love these. If a camera needs rails, there is nothing better. I changed all my cameras to use these or the one without rails. MY FAV.

A Large Rig Beast!!

I wrote the wrong review for another Kessler base plate, this is the one I wanted to talk about. I have a HEAVY RED rig and all Kessler Base Plate snap-lock systems on all tripods and Steadicam rigs. The other reviewer might have had an issue with his actual rod diameters, but this locks down onto 15mm carbon rails nicely. The plate locks into a baseplate easily, the rubber feet ensure a heavy rig will not tip and the rubber feet plant solidly! A must for a rodded heavy rig.

the "plate" on the bottom, does it fit arca-swiss or Manfrotto PL type mount?

Pretty sure Sid is trolling you. Got this from Kesslers website: Arca-Swiss Compatible Compatible with industry standard Arca-Swiss style dovetail quick release systems and the Kessler Kwik Release system for ultimate versatility. So compatible with arca Swiss and kesslers system. Doesnt look like it will work with manfrotto systems.

Would this be suitable for mounting a 3rd party slider to a K-pod?
Asked by: Rob
The Kessler K-Pod requires a fluid head and then this Kessler Crane K-Plate Kwik Release Plate can be mounted to the tripod plate which attaches to the camera.
