I had a few arca swiss mounts years ago and initially thought I did not like them. I purchased some Kessler gear a few years ago and realized just how useful and easy they are to use. I have since switched all of my plates over to these. They just work and don't get in the way. I have had no issues of them getting loose over time. I recommend having a few extras of different lengths as it's one of those things that when you need it you need it right then and there.

Does it work with Peak Design Tripod? It's an Arca-type head, but the length might not be compatible.

Will this fit on a Manfrotto head that uses 501PL quick release plate?
No it will not. This plate is not wide enough and to my knowledge will only work with its matching Kessler receiver. For example, I use one that is mounted on my slider, and I have a Kwik Short Camera Plate, that I can attach to the bottom of a small fluid head. The Kessler receiver is mounted to a 100mm half-ball, that sits in my 100mm tripod bowl. Then I can switch between a slider and fluid head on one tripod without removing and switching plates.

Is this 100% Arca compatible?
This will work with thumb screw-type Arca Swiss style clamps. There is less of the dovetails engaged in the clamp compared to some other plates. The dovetail has a rounded bottom edge which is likely needed to work smoothly with the drop in style kwik clamp.
