Film yourself from up to 2,000' away without the need for a camera operator with the SOLOSHOT2 CX405 Camera Bundle. The bundle features everything you need to get started, including a SOLOSHOT2 Base & Tag, Camera Controller, tripod, and Sony HDR-CX405 camcorder. The Base serves as motorized tripod head and receiver, automatically panning and tilting to track the wireless Tag transmitter, keeping you in the frame as you move. The included Sony CX405 lets you capture the scene in 1080p quality at up to 60 fps, and features a 26.8mm wide-angle lens with 30x optical zoom and 60x extended zoom. Using the Camera Controller, zoom can be automatically triggered to maintain a certain frame size as you move towards and away from the camera. A USB adapter cable comes included for powering the camera directly from the Base, providing up to 4 hours of continuous use.
The SOLOSHOT2 Base supports loads up to 5 pounds and provides 360° of continuous horizontal panning at up to 80°/sec, and 150° of tilt at up to 35°/sec. It features a 1/4"-20 threaded screw for attaching the camera, and a 3/8"-16 threaded hole for mounting on the aluminum tripod legs. A serial port accessory dock lets you attach the Camera Controller for remote zoom control and start/stop recording. Out-of-the-box, the Controller comes pre-loaded with firmware for use with the CX405. Using the USB port, the firmware can be changed for compatibility with different cameras, including DSLRs. Additionally; you can network multiple SOLOSHOT2 Bases and Tags together, for a fully robotic production crew.
The Tag is lightweight at only 2.1 ounces, and comes in a durable waterproof housing rated to depths of 100'. The transmitter has a 10 to 2,000' line-of-sight transmission range, though once submerged underwater the wireless signal won't be able to effectively transmit to the Base. It features a 4-hour internal battery that recharges by docking into the Base accessory port. An armband and clip are provided to wear the tag around your arm for hands-free use.
