Stabilizing your camera moves has become the name of the game, and the Helix 4-Axis Camera Stabilizer with RC Module from Letus35 stabilizes cameras weighting up to 16 pounds in three axes with its brushless gimbals. This Helix is built from aluminum, which provides an excellent balance between weight and strength. The Helix is a powered stabilizer that features a modular design with a removable platform for each of the three axes: roll, pan, and tilt. The modular design allows you to quickly turn your three-axis stabilizer into a one-axis stabilizer. This unit includes the 4th axis, which allows you to mount the Helix on a third party balancing system, such as a Steadicam, or tripod, while retaining full function of the Helix's 3 Axes. An optional spacer is required for mounting the stabilizer to a vest/arm-type stabilizer. The factory installed RC module provides remote control of the pan and tilt functions by a second camera operator.
The Helix balances around the optical center of your camera, providing less stress on the system and your cameras image stabilization system, but also allowing nodal camera rolls. The flat bottom design of the Helix allows you to place it down on a flat surface without requiring a stand mount or other support.
