300 Mb/s Range Extender
The range extender is designed to conveniently extend the coverage and improve the signal strength of an existing wireless network to eliminate "dead zones." This helps you to maintain an existing wireless network and vastly improve the network's coverage. With 300 Mb/s wireless 802.11n speeds, it is suitable for smooth HD video, music streaming, and online gaming.
Flexible Deployment
The miniature size and wall-mounted design make it easy to deploy and move flexibly. Furthermore, the range extender profile function remembers previously paired wireless networks. There is no need to reset the device when changing the paired router.
Ethernet Bridge
Its single Ethernet port allows the extender to function as a wireless adapter to connect wired devices like Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, DVRs, and Internet TVs. At the same time, the device can share the wireless network as well
Smart Signal Indicator Light
Five signal lights represent the current signal strength that the range extender receives from the existing router, which can help you to find the right location to place it so that the device can achieve the best possible range and performance of the network
Plug-and-Play
With no new wires or cables, within the range of your existing wireless network, you can easily extend wireless coverage at a push of the WPS button on your router followed by the range extender button on the device or vice versa. An additional push of the pair button can quickly establish an encrypted connection with client devices.
Optimal Range
With two fixed external antennas combined with higher quality antenna technology, you can experience optimal Wi-Fi coverage and reliability no matter where you connect in your home.
Domain Name-Based Login
It supports the domain name-based login (http://tplinkextender.net) for advanced management.
Security
Advanced 64/128/152-bit WEP, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryptions protect your network from security threats.
Compatibility
The range extender works seamlessly with all 802.11 b/g/n wireless devices. It is also compatible with Windows 8 operating system.

    TP-Link TL-WA860RE reviews

TL-WA860RE N-300 Wi-Fi Range Extender with AC Passthrough is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast setup and works I bought this to a friend who was having problems with her router and 5 walls to the back of the house. The signal after 3 walls was less than half and in the main room at the back it wass Null. We connected this extender on an outlet in the corridor midway to the last door, just pressed the connection button on it and on the router, 10 seconds later it was doing its job. The light got green signaling the position was good in relation to the router and the users and we were able to get 75% signal and up in all the places inside the house. The passthrough was not tested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something that really works! I had just replaced my old router and modem with new ones and thought that would take care of my streaming speed and problems. Although things were improved I was still having hiccups. So I decided to try this extender mainly because where I wanted to install it I didn't want to lose a plug in. To my surprise no hiccups faster downloads and very easy to set up. Something that really works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended Good enough for my needs. I have an older one of the same brand that has worked flawlessly for over a year, but I needed more strength in a far area on another floor of my house. Everything works as it should with both operating at the same time; great product for the price. I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed the problem Does the trick! I have been having mysterious issues with WIFI connectivity in my house... Cable company claims all tests say the signal is strong but I couldn't use the Apps on my SmartTV nor could I browse the Internet on my laptop without using my smartphone as a personal hotspot. In comes the TL WIFI range extender with AC passthrough to save the day. The house is so small there is no place to plug it where it does not read as too close to the cable modem, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. Even with a solid yellow reading, my connection speed is now as fast as it should be. The AC passthrough saves a socket, and in this old house we have too few to begin with. The device is small - hardly taller than a deck of cards and about the thickness of two decks of cards stacked together. No one will notice it in an out of the way socket. Also, it's really easy to set up. I actually let it sit in the box for a couple of weeks until I had time to deal with setting it up, then felt silly because in the end it took me two minutes. The hardest part was finding a grounded socket far enough away... which I couldn't do but it worked fine anyway.
