question
Is there no difference between this and the Samyang? I see that this one has the inclusion of IF in the name for Internal Focus . That sounds like a made up word for manual focus though. Am I right? A big difference I see is $60-$100 which I'd like to save.
There is no difference between the two lenses. Rokinon and Samyang are both made in the same factory by the same company.

question
Would it fit Canon 70D mount?
Yes. Fits full and aps-c canon frames (EF mount). I have it on the 70D myself and coupled with magic lantern to help with focusing makes it a killer lens!

will the aperture remain wide open when not ...
will the aperture remain wide open when not taking a photo, only going to the selected setting when the shutter is pressed?
No, the aperture will adjust according to the aperture that is set on the aperture ring of the Rokinon 50mm f/1.4 AS IF UMC Lens for Canon EF Mount. The aperture does not stop down like in an auto exposure lens. This is a fully manually exposure lens, so the aperture only changes when you change the aperture ring.

question
Is the image quality for video between this and the cine lens the same? Do they have the same optics? Are the only differences the de-clicking and grooved rings?
The optics are the same, the only difference is the body construction.

Is the aperture ring on this lens declicked for cine/video work ?
What is the difference between this lens & Rokinon’s Cine line of lenses ?
I would use as a prime on my FS7
It is not, this does not offer a de-clicked aperture. That is one of the main differences between this and a Rokinon Cine lens like B&H # RO5015TSE. Rokinon Cine Lenses offer a de-clicked aperture and have lens gears built in for use with Follow Focus Systems.
