I have ranked this as a 4 because it is sturdy, functions as expected and is easy to attach to tripod. It however limits smooth panning. A fluid head mounted would serve you better for this purpose.
I use this to mount my jib/crane onto its stand. It is easy to use and durable after heavy use at a school. It is primarily used by teens in a film class.
