SynthMaster Everything Bundle from KV331 Audio is a semi-modular software synthesizer plug-in featuring multiple synthesis methods including virtual analog, additive, wavetable, wavescanning, phase modulation, frequency modulation, pulse width modulation, ring modulation, amplitude modulation, physical modeling, and SFZ sample playback synthesis.

The "Basic" oscillators generate many different types of waveforms, including sine, square, triangle, sawtooth, pulse, noise, wavetable and multi-sampled WAV/AIFFs defined in SFZ files. Additionally, the software allows for several different combinations of the basic oscillator for added flexibility.

The synthesizer also includes flexible effects routing with eleven types of effects and extensive modulation options and multiple filter types. The arpeggiator features classic arpeggiator modes and each of the thirty-two steps of the arpeggiator has its own velocity, note number, note length, slide and hold parameters.

The Everything Bundle includes the software synthesizer along with 29 preset banks with 1800 presets, for various genres of music. It also includes a crossgrade for SynthMaster One, and an upgrade to SynthMaster V3.0

What's New in Version 2.8
  • Now supports drag and drop: click a modulator name and drag it to a target control to make the assignment
  • Adjustable modulation depth rotaries appear around all controls assigned to the currently selected modulator
  • Modulation assignments can now include a Via source
  • Active mod source tabs are shaded grey and shuffled to the left end of the row, for easy access
  • New Dual LFO mode lets you mix between two shapes, and incorporates a bit-depth control for dialing in digital stepping
  • ADSR envelope's Analog and One-Shot modes enable faster, smoother envelope movement and bypassing of the Sustain stage, respectively
  • Four new ZDF types: Moog- style Ladder, 303-style Diode Ladder, SEM-style State Variable, and MS-20-style Bite
  • Effects section has been streamlined from three tabs to one, with new displays for Phaser, Chorus and LoFi
  • Modules can now be reordered by dragging
  • Arpeggiator's new DrumKit mode serves as a step sequencer for programming an included multitimbral SFZ drum kit
  • MIDI input can be recorded into the step sequencer
  • Polyphonic expression is supported
  • Now choose separate real-time and off-line Engine Quality settings
  • Windows users get a standalone version of the synth
Features
  • Semi-modular architecture featuring two layers followed by two global effect send busses
  • Includes SynthMaster and 1800 presets for various genres of music – 29 preset banks by nine authors
  • Also includes crossgrade for SynthMaster One, and upgrade to SynthMaster V3.0
  • Each layer has its own arpeggiator, two oscillators, four modulators, two filters, four ADSR envelopes, two multistage envelopes, two 2D envelopes, two LFOs and four keyscalers
  • Modulators can modulate frequency, phase, amplitude, pulse width of the oscillators, or any other modulators
  • Modulation architecture provides more than 650 modulation targets and 95 modulation sources including ADSR envelopes, 2D envelopes and multistage envelopes, LFOs, keyscalers, easy parameters, vocoder bands, MIDI velocity, aftertouch, pitch bend and MIDI CC
  • Each modulation target can have up to three modulation sources
  • The modulation matrix, which has sixty-four available slots and visual filtering so that targets for a specific source, or sources for a specific target can be filtered and shown on the user interface
  • Easy parameters feature eight knobs and two XY pads that can be freely assigned as modulation sources, so that the complexity of the synthesizer engine can be hidden away and only most important parameters of a preset controlled by the user
  • Easy parameters can be globally linked to MIDI controllers, and can also be assigned automatically by the software
  • Arpeggiator features classic arpeggiator modes such as up, down, up down, down up, up down 2, down up 2, as played, as well as sequence, chord and arpeggiate modes
  • Each of the thirty-two steps of the arpeggiator has its own velocity, note number, note length, slide and hold parameters
  • "Basic" oscillators generate many different types of waveforms: sine, square, triangle, sawtooth, pulse, noise, wavetable and multi-sampled WAV/AIFFs defined in SFZ files
  • Each "basic" oscillator has its own detune, tone, phase/pulse width, frequency and waveform type
  • "Additive" oscillator combines eight "basic" oscillators running simultaneously
  • "Vector" oscillator consists of four "basic" oscillators, mixed at different ratios with the mix ratios determined by two orthogonal parameters in two dimensions, 'X Index' and 'Y index'
  • "Wavescanning" oscillator is similar to basic oscillator, except that the waveform can be scanned (interpolated) through sixteen different waveforms shapes with the position of the waveform adjustable using the 'wave index' parameter
  • Oscillators have stereo output and with the new "voices", "pan spread" and "detune spread" parameters, each basic/wavescanning oscillator can have its own unison settings, eliminating the need to enable unison for all voice elements
  • "Analog" filters are modeled after a famous ladder filter, have continuously variable slope, and self-oscillate when the filter resonance is maxed out
  • The "digital" filters are biquad filters with a hard limiter in their output that features an envelope follower with attack, release and threshold parameters
  • "Multimode" filter type allows for switching from low-pass, to band-pass, to high-pass filter types continuously
  • The analog multimode filters can have their slope adjusted continuously from 0 to 24 dB/octave
  • With the 'dual' filter type, two multimode filters can be run simultaneously, either in parallel or in series
  • The mix ratios between the filters and the topology (parallel/series) between them can be changed continuously, as well as the modes and cutoff frequencies of the filters
  • Comb filters are digital filters used in physical modeling synthesis
  • A distortion stage can be inserted before, after, or even inside the filters - for the analog filters the distortion is applied for each of the four filter stages in "inside" mode
  • Eleven different effect types: distortion, lo-fi, ensemble, phaser, six-band EQ, compressor, vocoder, delay, chorus, tremolo, and reverb
  • Each of the eleven effect types can be inserted on any layer insert or on any of the two global effect bus inserts
  • Microtuning supports Scala tuning, so tuning can be set either for each preset, or globally by loading from a Scala tuning file
  • Comprehensive preset browser with separate search criteria for instrument type, preset attributes, music style or preset author
  • Registered users can upload their presets to the online preset library, or browse and download presets created by other registered users using the preset browser right inside the plug-in window
  • Monophonic or polyphonic (chord) MIDI patterns can be imported into the arpeggiators via drag and drop onto the arpeggiator view in the plug-in window
  • Multi-samples in WAV/AIFF formats can be imported as SFZ definitions via drag and drop onto the oscillator waveform view in the plug-in window
  • Three different skins in different color variations and with the interface editor, users can not only customize the existing skins, but also can create their own custom interfaces
