Nektar Technology IX49 Overview

The Impact iX49 from Nektar is a forty-nine, full-size-key USB MIDI controller that, aside from being class compliant (no additional driver installation required) and USB powered, includes Nektar DAW integration with eleven DAWs for important keyboard control over software functions. And to allow for immediate composition for those that don't have recording software, a full cross-platform copy of PreSonus Studio One Artist DAW software is included.

The usual pitch and modulation wheels are included and octave and transpose buttons shift the keyboard up or down. Nektar DAW integration adds some of the most important features to the controller including transpose button assignment for track or patch change, volume control for the currently selected track, and a special transport mode for octave and transpose buttons which allows for controlling play, stop, record and rewind. The keyboard is USB bus powered.

Octave buttons shift the keyboard up four octaves or down three octaves with multi-colored LED indicators showing the exact range
Transpose buttons shift the keyboard +/-12 semitones
The transpose buttons can be quickly configured to change the MIDI channel or send MIDI program messages, with the setting stored over power cycling
Assignable fader provides control over any MIDI parameter
Pressing a key combination changes the octave and transpose button functions to send out MMC transport controls for activating start, stop and recording, directly from the keyboard
USB class compliant - no drivers needed to operate the controller
1/4" input jack allows for adding a foot switch pedal for sustain or sending MIDI messages (pedal sold separately)
Connect the keyboard to an iPad via Apple's optional USB Camera Connection Kit
Includes PreSonus Studio One Artist recording and production software that offers unlimited tracks and plug-ins with drag-and-drop operations and in-depth editing features
