    Denon HEOSLINK reviews

HEOS Link Wireless Preamplifier (Black) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works nice on independent setups I just installed 1-AVR4300H ---1HEOS SOUND BAR---2 HEOS DRIVES--- All in one home Total of 10 zones Very nice ,but some problems aroused because of the amount of zones System is not in sink between avr and drives Grouping rooms is easy --ungrouping is a serious problem(all zones on one app) Is there a way I could break it into two applications like upstairs and downstairs or is there anyway to lock out zones Example-- sound bar and master bathroom are 2 zones I master suite,,, Little Joey likes to play on iPad disturbing moms . Or is there any way of making the Kidzones separate from all others Obviously this is an high-end house home and I would like to Cater the audio system to my customer needs Thank you Michael

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems to disconnect more often lately I have it plugged up to a Devon AVR (x4100) and it seems to not show up on my "rooms list" in the app quite often, I'd say 1 in every 7 times where I open the app and the room is no where to be found. I know it's no my network as I have another Heos Amp in a further room (from my router) and it always shows on the list. When it is working, 6/7ths of the time, It works really well with turning on my amp, turning it off, and adjusting volume from the app.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile device with excellent sound I'm using the HEOS Link to stream online music to my home 2-channel stereo system, and for use with a headphone/amplifier combo when away from home. I use mainly Spotify premium, Pandora and Internet radio. The sound quality, both from the digital output through an external DAC, as well as from the HEOS Link internal DAC via the RCA outputs is very good - just what you would expect from Denon. The control/display app running on a tablet / smartphone is easy to use and works very well. I'm using the wifi (as opposed to ethernet cable) with no problems at all. One thing I should mention though is if you are going to take the Link to a friend's house or vacation destination, be sure to take along the 1/8" mini cable for connecting the HEOS Link to your phone/tablet. You will need this to get the HEOS Link up and running on a different network.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid connection fair sound I use as an add on to my home stereo system to replace what has become a fairly useless tuner due to the lack of radio stations worth listening to. I have it plugged into a tape deck port on my stereo. So it's running thru some high end gear. Pleased to be able to stream music from the net to my stereo with out Using blue tooth. The sound quality of Blue tooth is less than satisfactory. This is much better very close to CD quality sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good speakers, so-so connectivity, bad interface The speakers do sound good. They keep dropping off my wi-fi network for no apparent reason. The iPhone user interface is confusing and clunky - I use it often and still can't remember where various settings are. I have to restart the program often, and even have to reboot my iPhone fairly often to get the Heos app to start working right. Support is lackluster - usually their response amounts to, "Yes, that doesn't work right."

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drops out. Either my main system, which the link is attached to, or my wireless speaker will just stop playing. Great difficulty is encountered to bring sound back. Tech support recommended a wifi repeater citing a weak wifi signal. After installing one the problem persists. And now the sound/music has started cutting out at one second intervals like it is stuttering. Really, really not ok. I've disconnected the system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built, good sound, feature laden, good price I have 3 of these units in various systems in my place. They do the job of multi-room streaming better than anything the competition offers at this price. I even use one of these in my main system, going into a separate D/A converter. The sound quality is quite good - entry level high end, depending on what you hook it up to. Plenty of inputs and outputs. Well done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value, best of its type. Superb and generous features, reliable, capable and ingenious - and very good sound quality. I own Sonos, Pioneer Elite, Bluesound, and WD Live and the Heos is the most vesatile and easiest to use. Great sound, no muss and very good signal stability. Heos is the best all around unit.
