The P3915-R Series 2MP Vehicle Dome Camera from AXIS Communications uses a 1/2.8" progressive-scan CMOS sensor for 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30 fps, and it features a 3.6mm fixed lens for a 102° diagonal field of view. Additionally, the camera can be digitally panned, tilted, and rotated for conveniently adjusting your viewing angle without needing to physically access the camera. Designed for use in the interior or on the exterior of a vehicle, the camera can withstand vibrations, shocks, and temperature fluctuations, and it features a traffic light mode for distinguishing traffic lights in dark scenarios. An external line input allows you to connect a microphone to the camera for accompanying audio. The camera also comes with built-in analytics, such as motion detection, audio detection, and active tampering alarms. When any of these events occur, the camera will send you an email notification or store video recordings of the event to your edge storage.
The camera compresses footage using H.264 and MJPEG formatting, maximizing your bandwidth and storage. Additionally, video can be streamed in multiple individual streams, and frame rates and bandwidth are controllable for further customizing your network. A microSD slot supports on-site recording, however, the camera can also record remotely to a dedicated NAS. The network is secured with a number of safety features, including password protection, IP address filtering, and HTTPs encryption. PoE technology allows you to transfer both data and power over the same Ethernet cable, minimizing the amount of cables needed during installation, and the camera is IP67-rated for use outdoors.
