The lens cap sits and looks pretty well on my Sony 35mm f/2.8 ZA. But Sony's cap is kinda easier to take off, to be honest.

This lens cap is designed so that it will jump off your lens like a frightened animal. Just brush it up against your arm and it is gone. I lost the original, replaced it with like and now it is gone. You are thinking "this guy loses lens caps". Nope... I never lose lens caps, at least not until I met this one. Buy the zeiss lens cap only if you want to resell the lens - which is likely never.

Will this allow the hood to be mounted and dismounted (stored inverted) and fit within the hood on the 85/4 Tele-Tessar?
The ZEISS 43mm Front Cap for ZM Lenses cannot be used on a reverse lens shade for the ZEISS ZM lenses because these hoods cannot be reversed for storage on the lens.
