DJI CP.PT.000301 overview

  • 1Description

The white DJI Transmitter for Inspire 1 Quadcopter is the handheld radio controller used to operate the aircraft as well as control the gimbal. You can even use two transmitters with one aircraft, thereby allowing one person to pilot so the second person can concentrate on operating the camera. It features a mini-HDMI (type C) port for connecting an FPV monitor or glasses, plus there is a USB type A port for connecting you mobile device when using the Inspire app.

The transmitter uses a 2.4 GHz band for the control signal, plus there is a 5.8 GHz radio allowing two controllers to be bound together for dual operator flying. In dual operator mode, the "master" transmitter is used by the pilot, while the "slave" transmitter is used by the camera operator to move the camera manually.

Note: The transmitter requires binding before it can be used with your quadcopter. Please refer to the manual for instructions.

    DJI CP.PT.000301 reviews

Transmitter for Inspire 1 Quadcopter (White) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall good performance. Video outputs unstable The Inspire 1 RC does the job pretty well for what its intended... HOWEVER... after 5 months of usage the USB output for the video monitor started failing ... on and off... until it finally stopped working altogether. Hence the reason why i bought a new unit from B&H... to have a backup one while I sent the defective one to DJI for warranty repair. This is a pretty big deal if you think about the fact that the RC is worthless without access to the DJI app via USB. DEFINITELY use the RC with a Monitor Hood. Warranty for the RC is 12 months... so make sure any repairs or changes happen before that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second Controller for Inspire 1 I recently purchased the Inspire 1 Quadcopter by DJI. I purchased a second controller at the same time. I purchased the second controller because we shoot in full manual in order to eek out the best in the on-board camera. In order to allow me to concentrate on the safe and smooth operation of the flying camera platform and to allow the camera operator to focus completely on getting the best framed and exposed shot, this second controller really makes achieving both those goals easier. The controller was very easy to set up and pair with the Inspire 1. I was dismayed if not outright aggravated that, in spite of spending a pretty good chunk of money, DJI did not provide a neck strap for the second controller. That cost them a star in my rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Absolute MUST!! If you are buying the inspire, take the extra step and get a second remote. Syncing is easy, control is smooth, and the video is crisp. You'll need it for doing any sort of detailed sweeping shots or dynamics. Trust me, if you are piloting, you'll be spending more time watching the drone than the screen, having the second man for the gimbal is a true asset. Only big con: the display holder does not do well with iPads/iphones in heavy duty protective cases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes time to figure out the signal I use this as my second transmitter for me DJI Inspire 1 and it works great for controlling the camera. On some occasions there can be a lag time in the signal which makes controlling the camera in real time almost impossible. I've been trying to work around this and one of the issues might be interference with other signals in the area. I am not certain yet but this might be fixable by adjusting the channel I am using to link to the drone/other controller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer This is my second controller for the dji inspire, we use it to control the gimbal and camera as the primary controller/pilot flys the copter. it makes a huge difference in the shots you are able to capture, and allows for higher quality, keeping the subject in frame while not having to worry about keeping the copter smooth. So far I have had no problems with this controller, and recommend it to anyone considering a dual operator set up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Advanced Drone This Drone is very advanced and now easy to fly compared to cheap ones. The camera is amazing but you need to go to camera school to learn the finer points. I was disappointed with the manual. it fails to really explain each feature with real needed detail. There needs to be a comprehensive discussion for camera settings for the beginner. There is a major feature upgrade not yet released that will allow the drone to fly to waypoints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works but did I need it? Works as advertised, however after a few flights my camera guy (I'm just the piolet :) started using the iPad and his finger to drag the camera. So I broke out a long lightning cable hooked to my controller and I used a small LCD monitor from the HDMI out to monitor what was happening....worked just as thing clients are very impressed with the two controllers, makes the whole rig look less like a toy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Controller fell apart in the inside After 13 months of owning the DJI Inspire 1, the controller fell apart from the inside. The housing where the screws hold the modules together broke off, making the buttons wabble. Since the warranty expired 30 days ago I had no choice but to use plastic weld to hold the insides of the controller together. I have never dropped the controller or abuse in any way.
