    Phottix Mitros+ reviews

Mitros+ TTL Transceiver Flash for Sony Multi-Interface Shoe Cameras is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing works I love my Phottix Nikon Mitro+ flash and the Odin system. I waited for a long time for this Sony version. I received the unit today and tested it with my Sony A7II and Sony RX1r. On the A7II, nothing works, TTL, HSS, etc... If I turned the flash on first, then turned on my A7II, I couldn't set my shutter speed higher than 1/250 for HSS. I also tested TTL, changing the aperture did not make the flash change its output. On the RX1r, the flash wouldn't even let me choose off, which was the proper setting for on camera flash. The only option on the flash that I could select was OP TX and OP RX. Finally, I expected Odin to be a cross platform trigger system, sadly to report that the Sony Mitro+ set to Odin TX could not trigger Nikon Mitro+ set to Odin RX. One would think the same Odin wireless system would work off camera because of the same design, the only thing different is the flash connector for different mount, but off camera shouldn't make any difference. Not sure that I had a defective unit or this was a product with too many bugs that need to be fixed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fine for amateurs... I have had two of these fail. I am a professional wedding photographer, and I need a reliable flash that can recycle quickly and reliably when connected to external power (Quantum Turbo 3). These flashes are not up to the task. If you actually depend on your equipment, don't buy this flash!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect pair for my A7r, A7s and A6000 This is the new flash by Phottix. It fits the above cameras without any need for an hotshoe adapter. It is very powerful and a little less cost than the higher enn branded plus it has built in Odin TX/RX and the Strattos receiver built into the unit. HSS is just a touch of an button on the flash to initiate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No reason to buy Sony flashes anymore Everything you'd expect from a solid flash with great controls and consistent output. I no longer need to mix things with the Odin receivers on my Sony flashes - genius! My only challenge was the shoe is still relatively flimsy, pretty much same design as the Sony flashes, so it snapped day one. Returned to B&H and waiting fro 2 more to arrive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Performer w/ Minor issue Overall a solid performer. The AUTO BACKLIGHT function doesn't work; I emailed Phottix twice and never received a response -- disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Delay when using RT I don't know if it is a defective product or what but I have had mine for several months and cannot get them to work as I believe they should. Despite updating to the most recent firmware and updating my A7R ll to the newest firmware that claimed to solve RT issues, there is still a noticeable delay between pressing the shutter and the flash going off when using it with the Odin transmitter. I have contacted Phottix but received little help. Works fine on camera with one flash triggering the other but not both off camera with the Odin triggering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Flash!!!!! This is a great flash. The build quality is nice, the exposures are right on, and it has stroboscopic flash. It is well worth the price, and is less expensive than other flashes I've owned. It is a nice addition to my equipment.
