Fenix Flashlight PD22 LED Flashlight (Ultimate Edition)

This ultimate edition of Fenix's PD22 LED Flashlight features a Cree XP-L LED emitter with the added capability to run on one high-capacity rechargeable 16340 Li-ion battery. These two upgrades boost the maximum output to a piercing 510 lumens on turbo mode. Designed as a compact utilitarian tool, it has three normal outputs from a 6-lumen low to a high of 200-lumen. To increase its usability, there is a powerful strobe to signal or cause disorientation, plus an emergency distress mode that automatically cycles through the Morse code sequence. A tactical tailcap switch lets you choose from momentary or constant-on activation, while a mode selector switch on the side of the body gives you access to the output intensities as well as the strobe and SOS modes. The switch remembers the last output selected and automatically goes to that level the next time it's turned on.

The PD22's housing is made of light and durable aluminum with a Type III hard anodized finish. It is impact resistant to 3.3' and IPX8-rated to be submersible to 6.6'. Reverse-polarity protection prevents damage to the light if the battery is put in wrong, and overheat protection automatically drops the output if the light gets too hot. The PD22 is able to run on a CR123A disposable lithium battery, but the turbo and strobe outputs are reduced to a maximum of 400 lumens.
