I just purchased Blackmagic Design Fusion 16 ...
I just purchased Blackmagic Design Fusion 16 Studio from you (Dongle, electronic download). When I try to download from the Blackmagic website it asks for a serial number. Does B&H provide this with my purchase and if so can it be provided to me before my dongle arrives in the mail?
You can find your serial number on the box the dongle comes in, butt you don't need it to download fusion. On the bottom left hand side of the screen of that site, you'll find a small "download only" link, which is all you'll need to download the executable

is it more cost effective to buy this over the davinci dongle? I keep hearing about people using it for both fusion and davinci.
I don't think you can use the Fusion Studio dongle for DaVinci Resolve. The "Studio" version of Fusion has a few more features and workflow options than the version of Fusion integrated into Resolve, but no real editing features. There might be a comparison list at Black Magic's site. You could also search out answers at a site called SteakUnderwater (user forum).

Hello, Do the Activation Keys of Resolve and Fusion give the same ability to run both applications as it does with the Dongle? Thanks in advance!
The DaVinci Resolve Studio Activation Keys don't work on Fusion, but Fusion dongles work on all DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 platforms.
