Gain improved balance and attachment points for optional lighting arms with this Tray with Dual Release Handles for Compact Underwater Housings from Ikelite. This support system accommodates Ikelite Compact Digital and ULTRAcompact Digital Still camera housings, as well as non-Ikelite compact housings with standard, central, 1/4"-20 tripod mounts. It features two comfortable rubberized grip handles with quick-release connection points on top.
Built for durability, the tray and handles are made from aluminum that has been hard anodized for resistance to corrosion. To make it even more convenient for travel and handling, Ikelite made this system a 1/4 lb lighter than its previous #9523.62 Dual Tray with Handles. The central 1/4"-20 threaded mount allows you to connect your camera housing to the tray using the provided mounting hardware and also enables connection to an optional tripod. The supplied hardware is for mounting Ikelite housings that have female mounting points with 3" spacing. Housings below serial number 37100 with male threaded bolts on the bottom require the separate #9523.09 Tray Spacer. Attached lighting arms can be disconnected quickly at the push of a button.

Dual handle Quick release tray
After years of working with a modified tray, I changed it out for the Ikelite with quick release handles. Made for a nice clean setup. The Quick release make it easy to detach the arms and lights so you can work on your camera (change batteries, view photos, etc) and reattach them in seconds. Handles are a good size and comfortable (even with drysuit gloves). There was even a easy way to install a addition bracket for my GoPro without compromising real estate on the tray or added too much additional weight with extra fansenter and brackets. Very happy with the new set up. Ergonomic, comfortable, stable, and the quick release is a great bonus feature!
Tighten the screws before the first dive
Make sure to tighten the attachment screws for the handles before the first dive. It may appear to be pre-assembled in the box, and I assumed it was ready to go, but the handle fell off after about 40 minutes diving. Otherwise looks good and the handle shape is comfortable.
