The actual battery mount works, however the ac adapter died two days in. I was looking for a device where I could power everything on my camera via one device. I didn't want to have to rely on a battery for long takes, but I wanted the option of going to battery easily. This fits that exactly. The rotating rod mounts are great for keeping it out of the way when not needed. The inputs are a little confusing, You can power the thing with AC through the input labeled 15v/AC, not the input labeled charging port. Which I assume is for charging the battery when you have one. You don't need a battery to power devises through the LanParte VBP-02. The AC input sparks every time I plug it in, which is disconcerting, hopefully that wasn't what killed the AC cable? I guess we'll see?

I love being able to run my entire DSLR rig from one V-Mount battery. This pinch lets me tap power to my camera, recorder and even a light if I need to. Sometimes I may have the need to add a wireless HDMI send back to a switcher and it helps to be able to tap power to it as well.

Can this be used with the Blackmagic Ursa Mini? Or which power supply gadget would you recommend?

The Blackmagic URSA VLock Battery Plate mounts directly to the camera with no wires, has 1 P-Tap and is very inexpensive. The Lanparte VBP-01 Sony V-Mount Battery Pinch with HDMI splitter is more expensive, need a cable to power the camera, but it comes loaded with power outlet options including USB power and an HDMI splitter.

We think you are asking Will this charge a battery mounted to it? The answer yes, it will charge when there is a battery present and you connect the Pinch to AC power.

I see that there is a charging port next to the AC input port. Do I need to AC/DC adapters to charge and provide AC power? The adapter included, is it for the AC port or the "Charge" port?

The Camera output port actually measures 8.4V, so that cameras can recognize the battery as full. And would not affect any functionality.
