question
Can we buy extra filter trays for multiple filters?
Currently, there are no add-on filter stages available for this matte box. Thus it can only take two 4x4 filters at one time. The trays themselves may be available from the manufacturer though they are not listed.

Is it compatible with anamorphic lenses?
Yes, the LanParte MB-01 4x4 Rod-Mounted DSLR Swing-Away Matte Box is compatible with anamorphic lenses. Wide angle lenses may catch the sides of the matte box or the barn doors in the shot, so compatibility will vary from lens to lens.

question
If I buy this along with the Lamparte DSLR Starter Rig B&H # LABSK01, do I need to also buy 2 short rods for the front to mount the matte box?
You should be able to get away without it., Unless you are using a really long lens. You will have to adjust the camera to connect to the the matte box. I don't have the extension and it works fine for me with a GH4.
