  • 1Description

Featuring both a 2.4 GHz wireless radio transmitter and receiver, the Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite is a long range manual flash unit capable of triggering other flashes from up to 328' away as well as being triggered with the RF-603 and RF-602 wireless transmitters. The YN560-IV is powerful with a guide number of 190' at ISO 100 and 105mm. The unit is also quite versatile with a zoom range of 24-105mm, which is able to be expanded to 18mm with the built-in wide-angle diffuser. Additionally, this output can be adjusted from 1/1 to 1/128 power in 1/3 and 1/2 EV steps.

    Yongnuo YN-560-IV reviews

YN560-IV Speedlite is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 288.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great manual flash system I have just bought the YN560-IV As a controller for my other five YN560-III to do real estate and architectural photography. I cannot think of a better flash system for this type of work. The radio triggers work through walls and stairwells where standard optical slaves would fail. I bought the YN560-IV merely to trigger my other flashes, but found out that I could also adjusts the power output and zoom of my slave units and that it also supports 3 separate groups. What more could you ask for?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A steal for the price I started my speedlight collection with a Nikon sb700. Now, don't get me wrong, it's a great flash, but at nearly $400 (after tax), it's not cheap. At my first on-location shoot, my umbrella acted as a sail when a gust of wind came and, while my flash didn't break, the thought of all that money wasted flashed before my eyes. At around the same time, a friend of mine had purchased several of the yn560-iii flashes, as well as the on-camera TTL commander, and seeing what he could do with them, for the price, made me seriously re-think my past purchases. While I still have my sb700 (HSS was something I didn't want to lose), I couldn't be happier. These things are awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Speedlite! I have 4 YN560-III's and the 560-TX and with the addition of the gen IV speedlite I can now control my III's with the IV on the camera which really comes in handy when I want the on-camera flash look with a fill or backlight. I am using this equipment with my Sony A99 and A7 cameras without any issue. They are manual flashes so no TTL. I purchased the Canon version and have not had any compatibility issues with my Sony system. If you have an older Sony, like an A77, then you would need a hot-shoe adapter to use these speedlites.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Wireless Control I am a wedding photographer and have been searching for a way to use on camera flash combined with off camera flash for receptions. The YN-560-IV fits the bill. I can control up to three off camera groups and the on camera flash independently. I can turn each group on and off, control the zoom , and power output. The 560-IV menu is easy to navigate quickly and competently. They are amazingly inexpensive. I did not give them 5 stars due to the fact I would like a full season of use with them before doing so.They are not a ttl type flash their operation is all manual but once you practice with the manual you will find the results very uniform compared to the varying results of ttl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Speedlight I purchased two of these, then after seeing how well the two worked, I did a photo session and took some of that money and purchased a third one. It is sturdy, it can either be controlled by a 560-TX or, since it has the components of the TX (transmitting trigger) control other flashes with the number 560, be it it a 560-III or a IV. I purchased a TX for my camera hotshoe since I want the lights to be off-camera. The lights come in a very nice cloth-like bag each, yet firm. I have no complaints, though the review asks for any comments on what isn't so great about it. --

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value in this wonderful product. I purchased two of these along with the YN560-tx flash controller. I use multiple YN560 lights on stands for location shoots or weddings. I prefer the portability of speedlites when lugging around tons of gear. These lights perform far beyond their price point. They offer all of the features needed, are easy to pair to the manual controller and because of the low replacement cost I don't cringe nearly as much at the thought of damage or loss. They have been dropped, knocked over by wind and children and still work like new. I love the Canon equivalent but the Yongnuo does nearly everything the Canon product does at a fraction of the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked great...for a few hours I bought the YN560-IV Speedlite to replace the version II speedlites I lost. It's easy to use and set up, and works seamlessly with the RN603II remote trigger. However, after a few hours of using it on a shoot, it was stuck shooting in full power and would not adjust no matter what setting I put it on. I bought 3 other YN560-IV Speedlites (from another retailer, B&H didn't have them in stock) and same thing happened to them at a wedding I recently shot. Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I don't shoot at high power (mostly at 1/16) and I don't do rapid fire shooting. Pretty annoying and losing faith in the Yongnuo brand. I've read online that other users had the same problem, but no remedy to fix it. Sorry, I REALLY wanted to love this flash, but unfortunately, a malfunction on 4 out of 4 flashes? At least B&H made it easy to return the defective flash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Order two of them - they are fantastic! I'm not a pro - but getting fantastic results from this flash. I saw it used in a Matt Granger video. Incredible price compared to a Canon speedlite. Full disclosure, I dropped it twice on a hard floor on day one (just clumsy) and suffered no problems, so I would definitely rate this as durable. So many of the reviews I read advised they were purchasing additional units - within hours of setting this up I did order the second unit, so if you're planning to use multiple flashes, just go ahead and order. Got the Yongnuo triggers also - outstanding products, I would definitely recommend. Also, shipping from B&H is consistently great - items are always packaged securely and appropriately.
