The natural Yamaha FJX730SC is a medium-jumbo-bodied, steel-string guitar that features a solid Sitka spruce top with rosewood back and sides, a 25.6"-scale nato neck with a rosewood fretboard, and a rosewood bridge. It is designed to deliver a sound with a well-defined bass, wide dynamic range, and a clear response. The FJX730SC has inherited features from the L Series such as non-scalloped X bracing and a reverse L block neck attachment.
For electronics, it features an A.R.T. 1-way pickup system (System 56) that faithfully reproduces the dynamic sound produced by its medium-jumbo body. This pickup system utilizes two undersaddle piezo pickups, one for the bass side and one for the treble side, and provides volume control and a 3-band graphic EQ with an adjustable middle frequency band (80 Hz - 10 kHz). A battery check indicator will illuminate to signify that the battery needs to be replaces soon and a built-in chromatic allows for convenient tuning.
