vMix GO Plus Portable Live Production Solution is a turnkey, soup to nuts, live production system with 17.3" screen packed into the form factor of an attaché case. It features live switching of up to eight HD-SDI sources - including mixed resolutions and framerates, along with embedded and separate analog audio, and can stream live to the Web in RTMP, WMA, Flash, and other widely supported formats. It can record too; by default, the program feed can be recorded internally. In addition, the vMix includes four 500GB SSDs for media storage to record up to eight ISO (isolated) channels, i.e., from any of the SDI inputs. Recording the inputs separately gives you to the flexibility to re-edit the show later on.
The Windows-based switcher features vMix's 4K live streaming and mixing software. It comes equipped with an eight input / two output AJA HD-SDI I/O device plus there is a two-in / two-out XLR/TRS audio interface. Driving the software is an Intel i7 CPU along with an NVIDIA GTX 750ti 2GB graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and a 250GB SSD drive. In addition - unique to Plus - there is a spare 250GB "failover" drive that includes a clone of Windows and the vMix software. To compliment the built-in display, the GPU features HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI outputs for connecting a second monitor to increase screen real estate or show the preview in full screen.
A keyboard, mouse, and USB Wi-Fi dongle are included. Plus, the vMix GO comes with a wheeled transit case to conveniently store and transport it in.
Thanks to a built-in screen you can just plug in the included keyboard and mouse and start producing. A pair of speakers means you can monitor program audio too. In addition, a secondary monitor can be connected to the GPU using DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort providing additional surface area to view more inputs or to give you a full screen preview
AJA 8 Input / 4 Output HD-SDI I/O Card
While the software can accommodate up to 1000 total input sources (including virtual inputs), the vMix GO comes equipped with an eight-input / two-output SDI I/O device from AJA. This means you can capture up to eight HD- or SD-SDI live sources - mixed and matched any way you please. You can also group four inputs together provide a single 4K input - either having one 4K and four HD/SD inputs or having two 4K inputs. In addition to inputs, the card features two SDI outputs. This means you can output two different versions of the program feed at up to 3G-SDI bandwidth. For example, a "dirty" version complete with overlays for broadcast, and a "clean" version for recording and reuse later. Alternatively, one output can be dedicated to connect a broadcast grade preview monitor to supplement the GO's built-in screen
Removable SSD Slots for ISO Recording
No heavy platter-based drives here, vMix GO gives you four removable SSD storage slots enabling ISO recording of all eight SDI inputs when fully populated - SSD drives available separately. When you are finished, simply unplug the drives and easily move your footage to another machine for post-production or archiving
2TB Media Storage
For storing prerecorded video clips, audio, graphics elements, and more the Plus model features four 500 GB SSDs. These can also be used for ISO recording from the SDI inputs
Also included is a 250GB "failover" SSD. This features a clone of Windows plus the vMix software for emergency use during a live production should the primary drive or Windows installation fail. To use this drive, one of the SSD slots will need to be occupied
Balanced XLR / TRS Audio I/O
A pair of balanced XLR/TRS combo jack inputs allow the switcher to bring in additional audio from professional sources, on top of up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio. These inputs are accompanied by two XLR/TRS outputs for local monitoring. There is also an unbalanced 3.5mm audio input, and you can add external USB audio interfaces to increase the total number and type of available inputs
In addition to the Ethernet port also found on the Jr and Base models, the Plus features a USB Wi-Fi adapter for added flexibility
Virtually Unlimited Number of Input Sources Supported
The software supports up to a 1000 sources, including virtual as well as hardware sources. In practice, the total number will depend on the limitations of you computer, GPU, and capture hardware. With the I/O included in this turnkey, up to 8 HD-SDI camera/external sources are supported
Use a video I/O card such as a Blackmagic or AJA product to capture live from a camera or external video feed. Up to 4K resolution is supported, depending on the limitations of the card and computer hardware
FireWire (HDV/DV) capture is also supported, however there will be a significant delay
