It has built-in redundant power supply and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for reliability, data integrity, and execution speeds.

Optimal Data Transfer
ADM 2.3 supports SMB 2.0 that reduces the burden of network traffic on the NAS while simultaneously providing optimal data transfer capacity. SMB 2.0 also increases the number of concurrent Windows client connections and simultaneously open files, making ADM 2.3 suitable for large-scale Microsoft network environments.
Advanced File Permissions Management
In order to help IT professionals in their work, Asustor has comprehensively integrated Windows ACL into ADM. Windows ACL provides a set of 13 different permissions settings, allowing administrators to configure permissions for individual files and folders that can be applied to different groups and users. Windows ACL permissions can be configured from within ADM's File Explorer or Microsoft Windows Explorer allowing administrators to easily manage permissions using familiar methods.
Optimized Cooling Design
The storage server utilizes fans with wide speed ranges combined with a smart speed control mechanism that allows the CPU to maintain a controlled operating temperature even under high loads. Under most circumstances the fans will operate at a low speed, conserving energy. When the system load and temperature increases, the fans will automatically increase their speed to cool the CPU without it having to lower its frequency. This allows the NAS to maintain stability and performance even under high loads.
Enterprise Backup
The NAS server features comprehensive backup solutions. The built-in redundant power supply and four Gigabit Ethernet ports effectively increase reliability, data integrity and execution speed. The Ethernet ports and power supply all feature failover capabilities (when one fails, the other can continue to operate) in order to ensure continuous data availability.
Secure Disk Tray Lock Design
In order to help users avoid accidentally pushing disk tray buttons and releasing hard disks during operation, Asustor has added a new lock mechanism to its hard disk trays. The lock's flat-head design ensures that users will not need any special keys or tools to unlock it, only a simple flat-head screw driver will be needed. The new disks trays can be used with all Asustor NAS devices, providing an additional layer of security for applications requiring the frequent swapping of hard disks (e.g. MyArchive).
Simplified Management with ADM 2.0
Seamless System Migration
With Asustor NAS, it is easy to switch to a higher capacity NAS model. To move your storage volumes to a new system, simply take out your existing hard drives and then insert them into the new system.

Storage Management
RAID
NAS makes use of RAID storage technology to provide protection for your data. RAID mainly revolves around the core concept of combining your disks to protect the data inside. Asustor offers a number of different RAID level configurations that you can choose from when creating storage volumes. Each RAID level offers a differing degree of data protection, system performance and storage space.
Online RAID Migration
After using your NAS for a while, you can upgrade the RAID level of your storage volumes in order to gain the benefits of increased data protection. Asustor provides you with online RAID migration that lets you migrate your storage volume's RAID level to a higher one while your NAS is still online. Your NAS remains operational and you will have full access to your files while migration is ongoing.
Online Capacity Expansion
NAS supports online capacity expansion* which means that you can easily swap out all your old disks for higher capacity ones without turning off your NAS. During the capacity expansion process, while your data is being transferred over to the new disks, you will still be able to access everything on the NAS. Online capacity expansion does not require any advanced IT skills to execute and helps you to eliminate backup and migration procedures.
Note:
*Requires RAID 1, 5, 6, or 10
