The black TCS-61 Arrayable 2 Way 6.5" Full Range Loudspeaker from Turbosound is an arrayable passive two way full range loudspeaker designed for use in a wide range of fixed installations. It consists of a 6.5" low frequency driver with low mass coil for improved transient response and a 1" neodymium high frequency compression driver on a rotatable 100° horizontal by 60° vertical Converging Elliptical Waveguide in an optimally tuned enclosure. These high grade components are matched with an internal passive crossover to ensure a seamless transition between the HF and LF drivers.
The cabinet is constructed from 1/2" (12 mm) birch plywood, with an architecturally styled powder coated perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Its trapezoidal shape allows it to be tight packed with other TCS series cabinets and enables visually unobtrusive loudspeaker arrays. Multiple rigging points, supported by internal steel flying strips, are provided on the top, bottom, sides and rear of the cabinet to allow the TCS-61 to be suspended and angled in permanent installations using M8 shoulder eyebolts, and for use with Turbosound and OmniMount wall and ceiling brackets.
A Neutrik speakON NL4 input connector is located on the rear panel wired in parallel with a 4-way barrier strip providing input and link through connections to additional TCS series cabinets. The TCS-61 is finished in hard wearing semi matt black paint.
A weather resistant version is optionally available designed for outdoor use, with all components rated to IP54 and fitted with a captive cable tail secured through a sealed cable gland on an aluminum panel.
