Offering an extensive zoom range with a refined optical design, the angled viewing ES 80 GA ED/45 20-60x80mm Fieldscope with SDL v2 Eyepiece from Opticron features a tri-element high definition objective lens system with F-type multi-coatings for increased contrast and color accuracy. Furthermore, the optical system also incorporates extra-low dispersion glass to minimize chromatic aberrations for maintained clarity and definition.
Complementing the optical design of this scope is a durable body design made up of magnesium and aluminum alloys, as well as polycarbonate, which has been nitrogen-filled in order to prevent condensation and offer water-resistant performance. A textured rubber armor offers increased tactility and a wide band focus wheel provides smooth control when focusing as closely as 19.7' away. A retractable lens hood shields the front element from stray light and a rotating eye cup on the eyepiece increases comfort when viewing. Additionally, a rotating tripod collar is also fitted to the scope to support its use from a variety of mounted positions.
