Carson's eFlex Digital Microscope is a handy and compact magnifying tool that is ideal for hobbies, crafts, or science projects. This compact, ergonomic, and versatile scope can be used both as a handheld device or be placed into a flexible arm on a stand for hands-free operation. The flexible arm can be secured with the suction cup, for positioning the scope and attaching anywhere on the base plate or other smooth surfaces. The base plate provides references for metric, standard, angular, and other units of measurement. At the core of the device is a 1.9MP CMOS imager, capable of capturing 1600 x 1200 images and 640 x 480 videos and delivering them to your computer via a USB cable. The magnification of the resulting images is dependent on the size of your monitor and scales at 3.6 - 14.3 times the size of your monitor in inches. For example, a 21" monitor will give you 75 - 300x magnification, while a 32" television screen will produce a 114 - 457x magnification. To deliver adequate brightness and clarity in many lighting conditions, the scope features a built-in LED illumination ring that's situated around the imaging sensor, under a transparent protective polymer bezel.

question

I am looking for a USB scope for use with a MS Surface Tablet. Any suggestions?
Asked by: Anonymous
So your Tablet will take Windows 7/8, so I would recommend going with the Gigastone S1-100 8MP USB 3.0 Digital Microscope.Website link to the model: http://bhpho.to/16VeybA

question

Is it possible to view prepared slides with the Carson MM-840? Would there need to be a light source under the slides?
Asked by: Edward
Yes you should be able to view prepared slides, you can place a slide right up to the camera which has its own light source, focusing in can be kind of tricky sometimes it has a real hair trigger on the adjustment. hope this helps
