Another well crafted item from PortaBrace...but, THIS WILL NOT FIT AROUND YOUR FS7 WITH THE XDCA AND A BRICK!! There is a 5 stars review for this item that declares, no need for the XL. Let me repeat, THIS WILL NOT FIT AROUND AN FS7 WITH THE XDCA AND A BRICK!!! I use gold mount bricks so there is a bit of space added for the V mount adapter, but as you can see in the pics, even without the battery adapter, THIS WILL NOT FIT AROUND YOUR FS7 WITH THE XDCA AND A BRICK!!! I am on my second purchase of a PortaBrace rain cover for my FS7 and I'm still not there yet. As for the handle extension on this cover;  I started with the cover for the SHAPE handle extension(B&H # PORSSHAPEFS7).  Considerably more expensive than this one but, it too will not fit around an XDCA w/ a brick. I happen to have the SHAPE extension. This cover accommodates the extension just fine, but with a little modification necessary at the arm opening as it is designed to fasten around the out side. If it had some Velcro on the inside of the opening, the back would close up at full extension. (see pics) The SHAPE model may offer a little more reach, but very little more...and at a considerable bump in price. As you can see in the pics, the extension cover for the handle is removable. I'm hoping that the XL version of this rain cover will accommodate the handle extension cover. The pics on B&H's website for the XL model do not show it with the handle extension. In fact, they don't show the right side at all. It has been exceedingly difficult for me to get the right answers regarding proper fit for my camera. It was actually a PortaBrace Rep that assured me that the afore mentioned model for the SHAPE handle would, in fact, fit around the XDCA with a brick. HE WAS WRONG!! It was Craig's 5 star review about this model that had me fall back on this one. However, HE IS WRONG!!! IT WILL NOT FIT AROUND AN XDCA AND BRICK!!! If the XL version of this cover can accommodate the the handle extension cover, I will follow up on that items page to let you know. I hope this review has been helpful and best of luck finding the right item.

is very good for what it does, but it is not very FS7 suitable; rain or water will never touch the camera with it but it feels really lose when you use it

will this rain slicker cover Sony FS-7 with Sony extension mount with Anton Bauer Battery & Lectro Wireless receiver ?

According to images provided by Porta Brace, the RS-FS7 Rain Slicker can accommodate the camera with the Sony XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit plus a V mount battery. If you wish to usea Anton Bauer 3 pin Gold Mount, you would need a 15mm rod system with cheese plate to hold a Anton Bauer battery adapter. You could use a kit such as the Wooden Camera Sony FS7 Pro Accessory Kit B&H # WOWC185000 and Wooden Camera Gold Mount Battery Plate B&H # WOWC194300; both will be available soon. There should be no problem with that configuration with the slicker.Finally, you should have no issue with a mic receiver hung on the side or the front handle.

two things --the picture shows a different camera than the PMW FS7 ?are there pics of the PMWFS7 with the rain cover?will it fit an FS7 with the extension unit and v-lock battery & radio mic?

The images have been updated. They show the FS7 with a V lock battery. There should be plenty of room for a radio mic.

I bought the Porta Brace RS-FS7 Rain Slicker for my Sony PXW-FS7 but it does not fit. It is too big and too complicated due to the many Velcro pieces that do not line up. Has anyone found a better fitting rain cover that is quicker and easier to fit?
