Key Features
  • Siedentopf Interpupillary Adjustment
  • DIN 4x/10x/40xS/100xS Achromats
  • 10x Wide Field 19mm Eyepieces
  • 40x/100x/400x/1000x Magnification
The 30° inclined viewing TU-19031C Comprehensive Scope 2 Binocular Microscope with Achromatic Objectives from Ken-A-Vision features a Siedentopf head, a mechanical stage, 4x, 10x, 40xS, 100xS achromatic objectives, and a 360° rotating head. The retractable 40xS and 100xS have a spring-loaded lens which will retract when it touches the slide in order to protect the lens and the slide. The 100xS objective ought to be used with immersion oil to improve your microscope's resolving power. The supplied achromatic objectives reduce color distortions introduced by imperfections in optical elements across a wider field of view than regular achromatic objectives and provide higher contrast images. Both the turret and the included objectives adhere to DIN microscope objective standard. This means that you can use any DIN objective with this microscope without worrying about your microscope ever becoming obsolete. The lenses are also coated with special coatings that protect their surfaces against mold in high humidity and high heat regions. The parfocalled and parcentered design allows for switching objectives without having to realign your sample and without losing focus. The focusing system has a fine and a coarse focus adjustment with rubberized knobs for a slip-free grip.

To view details of your specimens more easily, the microscope features a white LED illumination system with adjustable brightness and a separate switch. The bright white light from the bottom LED emitter is focused with a light shaping lens and can be further collimated using a diaphragm with a variable aperture.

The microscope also features a 5.1 x 4.7" mechanical stage with two low position coaxial X-Y motion controls and a bracket for holding your specimen slides. The frame of the microscope is made of a cast aluminum with a cream-colored enamel finish. Included with the microscope are a USB cable, three rechargeable AA batteries, and a dustcover.
