Key Features
  • Siedentopf Trinocular Head
  • 4x, 10x, 40xS, 100xS Achromat Objectives
  • 10x Eyepieces with Integrated Pointer
  • 40x, 100x, 400x, 1000x Magnification
Designed as an entry-level instrument for advanced scientific courses, Ken-a-Vision's 220 VAC European version of the TU-19041C-230 Trinocular Compound Microscope features two 10x eyepieces - one with an integrated pointer - set at in a 30° angle binocular configuration with a third eyepiece centered on top, and a four-objective 360° rotating turret with click-stop positions at each lens. Four objectives from 4x to 100x produce a broad magnification range of 40x to 1000x making this microscope a versatile observation and educational tool. Achromatic glass objectives are designed to correct for chromatic and spherical aberrations in the center 60% of the field of view, so images have a true color representation with virtually no distortion. The trinocular head provides an extra observation point for easier sharing in groups or for instructors to see their student's work, or for the addition of imaging accessories.

If users need to change or replace eyepieces and objectives, Ken-a-Vision designed them to DIN standards to enable parts from many manufacturers to be installed without making modifications. A mechanical stage with spring-loaded specimen clips moves in both the X and Y axes. Each axis has its own adjustment knob, and a stage locking screw holds the stage in place when needed. Specimens are lit from below with an LED, and to control the amount of light illuminating the specimen from below is an 1.25 NA Abbe condenser and iris diaphragm, plus a rheostat for the LED. This multifunction adjustability enables precision illumination for the perfect image.

Optical System
  • Three 19mm wide-field 10x eyepieces, one with pointer
  • 4x NA 0.05 DIN Achromat: 40x magnification
  • 10x NA 0.25 DIN Achromat: 100x magnification
  • 40x(S) NA 0.65 DIN Achromat: 400x magnification
  • 100x(S) NA 1.25 DIN Achromat: 1000x magnification
  • Achromatic glass objectives correct chromatic and spherical aberrations in the center 60% of the field of view, so images have a true color representation with virtually no distortion
  • DIN standard allows for objectives to be changed/replaced using a wide-range of parts from different manufacturers
  • 40x and 100x objectives feature built-in spring action tip that avoids crushing specimens if lowered too far
  • Lead-free glass with anti-fog multicoatings
Focusing System
  • Low-position coaxial focusers
  • Dual controls for right or left-handed focus focusing
