Ken-a-Vision's 2220VAC European voltage compatible X2000-230 Microprojector 2 Digital Microscope Is built from the ground up to optimize student's learning experience by providing a simple VGA video-output interface for use with projectors, computers and other digital display systems. Using the familiar stage and focusing mechanisms students and instructors are used to allows for an easy transition from traditional instruments. The entire optical system is inverted with a digital camera replacing the eyepiece and a single zoom objective replacing the nosepiece and turret, all located below the stage.
The X2000 is designed with a large 5.3x5.1" floating stage, and a deep working area, that allows easy observation of larger specimens. An included mechanical stage add-on features a spring arm to hold slides and specimens in place and X & Y axes adjustment knobs that let users move the specimens into precise position over the objective. A cool-running LED won't heat specimens, and a large rheostat dial provides variable output control for optimal illumination. The whole instrument runs on a permanently-installed rechargeable battery with a 40 hour runtime on an 8 hour charge, or the included power supply. This version is specifically designed to work with 2220VAC European voltage outlets.
