LanParte HHG-01 Handheld Gimbal for Smartphones
Key Features
  • 3-Axis Powered Gimbal
  • 6-Axis IMU
  • Maintains a Level Horizon
  • Follows Pan & Tilt Motions of Wrist
The LanParte HHG-01 Handheld Gimbal allows you to capture stabilized, free-floating shots with your smartphone. It features a motorized three-axis gimbal and a 6-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) designed to keep your phone level and isolated from shakes and jitters. Rather than keep your device locked in place along three axes, the Handheld Gimbal allows it to follow the tilt and pan motion of your wrist, while keeping the horizon level. This gives a more organic feel to your footage and intuitive operation. Two mounting clamps are included, allowing attach smartphones from 2.2" to 2.5" wide (iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, or similar sized phone) and 3" to 3.6" wide (iPhone 6+ or similar sized phone). For use with a GoPro, an optional GoPro clamp is available.

question

Can anyone confirm it can hold iPhone 6 plus?
Asked by: Anonymous
YES! It will hold an iPhone 6 plus for sure. This phone doesn't balance with the supplied weight because it is a big phone.....BUT the knurled knob/weight that you tighten on bracket/rail DOES have a threaded hole on both sides...so what I did was go to Home Depot and find a small screw and nut that will thread into the hole and a small pack of washers to go with it. I just added washers (maybe like 10?) and then the phone WILL balance perfectly with the power off! Total cost of bolt with nut to hold down the washer stack was maybe $3. It works FLAWLESSLY and I'm getting at least 3 or more hours per battery. These things (like all steadycams) are made to accommodate many different devices. Some fine tuning (perfecting the balance) is all that may be needed depending on your particular phone. This gimbal is AMAZING!!!! So buttery smooth!!!!!

question

Is it possible for me to add a Rode VideoMicro Mini Shotgun?
Asked by: Efrem
I haven't tried that yet. Definitely it will be something I will be trying to do. It should be possible...the headphone jack is not covered up...especially if it has a 90 degree bend on it...it seems very possible. Then just mount the microphone portion to the handle itself.

I would be surprised to understand B&H doesn't have or can't get parts. You can also find Lanparte online. They answer emails!

question

Will this gimbal work with Samsung S6 Edge Plus?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes this gimbal works with the Samsung S6 Edge Plus. But I do not recommend buying this gimbal because its too fragile, mine got problems only after two shootings. I reported to B&H but up to now no answer. Regards.

It will be very soon! We are working on developing the adapter clamp for hero 5, although, some other LanParte's Gimbal will take Hero 5 with optional clamp like the LA3D-2/ LA3D-S2
