Utilizing a multi-layer coating process for consistent color rendition from lens to lens the Rokinon 135mm T2.2 Cine DS Lens answers the challenge of assembling a set of lenses over time. The lens comes in Canon EF Mount and it features industry standard geared focus and iris rings that share common position with other Rokinon Cine DS lenses. To aid focus pullers who have to work both sides of the lens, the aperture and focus scales are marked on both sides of the lens.

This 135mm lens produces an 18.8° angle-of-view when used with a full-frame sensor camera. Hybrid aspherical lenses render sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations, with a minimum focus distance of 2.6' from the lens. A removable lens hood provides flare protection when shooting without a matte box and the lens's threaded front accepts 77mm filter rings.

Ultra Multi Coated lenses minimize flare and ghosting, and the lenses are color matched to a standard eliminating the need to acquire an entire set of lenses at the same time.
Industry-standard gearing for focus and aperture rings. Each lens in the Rokinon DS series share common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be re-positioned.
"Declicked" aperture ring for smooth iris pulls.
A removable lens hood provides flare protection without a matte box.
The lens opens up to T2.2, providing the capability for low light shooting or creating extremely shallow depth of field.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sigh...would be perfect if better quality control I now own the 14, 24, 35, 50, 85 and now 135mm versions of the DS Cine lenses. It's unfortunate they have a bit of a bad rep, especially in the film world where glass is normally up to 50X the price of these. However, I've tested these up against master primes, S4's, ultraprimes and canon's and CP2's and I have to say what you get for the price is incredible. The one thing that sucks and I don't think is totally justified is how well they do quality checks on these. The build definitely can be better. So far I've had to exchange a few since they've arrived with issues such as loose parts inside, smudges on the inside glass and currently I have one that looks like its not clean like the rest of my new rokinons which is a big dissapointment. Either way I can't complain about too much else, if you have the money get Zeiss, Cooke's etc. I actually kind of like the look these have, can't describe it, they just look different. I'm happy for what I've spent till I can buy the dream set one day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lense : For film and depth of field I had the lense on day before i went on a fashion film shoot. In an elevator shaft with no external light by ambient.. Camera is a RED epic, filmed at 23.98 fps, 1/48 shutter speed , 8:1 compression , I got 2 hours of footage - ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !! I ran back to the office and loaded the SSD's the images are incredible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insanely Good Optic! A true cine lens masterpiece! Corner to corner this lens is razor sharp even with the aperture wide open. No noticeable chromatic aberrations either. The wide aperture and long focal length make this an uncompromising telephoto lens. Smashing results at an incredible price! If quality is your priority, I would highly recommend this lens!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Great lens, fast aperture (though I wish it were along the T1.5 lines of some of the other lenses). Definitely unbeatable price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lens I own a variety of the Rokinon lenses and am pleased with their performance based upon their price. This Rokinon is however disappointing. The focus barrel is incredibly stiff. It requires a tremendous amount of effort to move the barrel. The lens hood is so loose it almost falls off when doing handheld work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Build and Sharp Wide Open! A MUST! This is fantastic for video use and are surprisingly sharp wide open. A must have. Crazy good Bokeh as well. Nice and round. Solid feeling build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing value for the cost I think this lens punches WAY above it's price. Very fast and bright for it's focal length. Construction is not as solid as Canon or Sigma Cine lenses but still, it's well built for the money. VERY reasonable sharp wide open and razor sharp at f/4 and up. No complaints at all based on it's very low price.
